Dropped executable’s hash links dayroc.exe to a csrss.exe mimic

A sandbox report for dayroc.exe records a dropped executable whose hash matches a separately profiled file associated with an unusual csrss.exe path. Task, registry and firewall events target that path, while network evidence connects the case to an endpoint configured as Stealc C2 in another sample; the records do not establish a continuous execution chain.

C:\Windows\rss\csrss.exe appears as a process image, a scheduled-task target and a Run-key value in the supplied sandbox evidence. A firewall command also names that same executable. The convergence raises a more useful question than whether a suspicious file borrowed a Windows process name: what placed this component within the case, and what role were the surrounding settings intended to give it? CTX Threat Intelligence’s review identifies a concrete connection.
