A familiar process name becomes a specific logon target

The analyzed executable’s content was recorded at `%WINDIR%\rss\csrss.exe`, a path also named in logon launch settings and Defender exclusion writes. That overlap supports an attempted foothold and interference with scanning, but not proof that persistence or the exclusions worked.

The path %WINDIR%\rss\csrss.exe appears in several roles in the analysis record: as a file on disk, an execution target, a logon launch setting and the target of a scheduled-task creation command. The Windows Defender exclusion writes also reference the rss directory and the name csrss.exe. Why does this particular path recur across otherwise different kinds of activity? The strongest answer is that it anchors an attempted foothold, rather than merely giving a suspicious file a familiar name.
